I don't have any eSATA ports so I can't confirm if that's the issue or not The packaging says it only supports 4x10TB drives so it's also possible that this is an older unit mixed up on the same SKU, though I've read that people have run larger drives that were rated in many cases. These don't look to be present on my previous ProRAID.Īt this point I've down to thinking either it's the 3.3v pin issue, SATA multiplier issue or there is something wrong/broken with the 2 SATA ports at the bottom. The 2 remaining drives don't show up in HDD Sentinel or Crystaldisk either the drive activity light turns on when I plug them into the SATA port on the backplane there are four red indicator lights on the interior and only the 2 top ones light up. Doesn't matter which I put in, if I set the enclosure up as a RAID or single drives, or if I disconnect other devices, so I assume it's not a number of USB devices issue. The second ProRAID I've bought isn't detecting all 4 drives, just the two installed on top. I've previously shucked some 12TBs and put them in a MediaSonic ProRAID, and that ran great. I've been looking up and down for the answer for this, but I'm looking to shuck 4 16TB Easystores from Bestbuy, and I need an enclosure or thereabouts for them.
